Leaf Description
Single stiffly-erect narrow-lance-shaped leathery leaf 20cm x 12mm, margins incurved, dark green on outer side with white inside.
General Description
Erect orchid to 45cm tall. 2-8 green, reddish or brown flowers with bright yellow 'tounge' on stout brownish-green stems. 2 sheathing stem bracts and a single, large bract at base of each flower. Single leaf is leathery, dark green and stiffly erect. Flowers are fragrant in warmer weather. Plants are locally rare.
Flower Description
2-8 green, red to brown flowers, to 3cm across. Perianth segments narrow and spreading with margins incurved, dorsal sepal incurved and tapering. White, red or yellow 3-lobed labellum, mid-lobe bright yellow and covered in rows of small calli.
