Leaf Description
Single rigidly erect, ribbed, fleshy, dark green leaf to 22cm x 10mm, sometimes smaller, always shorter than flower spike. Triangular in cross section.
General Description
To 60 cm tall, bearing 2-15 yellow-green flowers each with coppery to red 'beards'. Stout, fleshy greyish stem with 2 copper-coloured bracts.
Flower Description
Up to 15 pale green flowers with purple veins, to 20mm across. Sepals broad, incurved, spreading and pointed and petals are shorter, pointed and erect. Labellum ovate with the base bearing one or more shiny deeply coloured plates and the central part with long deep red to purple hairs. Column wings each have a small black gland.
