Leaf Description
Tuft of 2-3 erect grass-like, channelled leaves 10-20cm x 5mm.
General Description
A colony forming orchid to 30cm high with 2-8 yellow and red-brown flowers held on erect, hairless stems with a tuft of 2-3 narrow channelled leaves. Widespread, common and variable species that readily hybridises.
Flower Description
2-8 yellow flowers heavily marked red-brown, to 300mm across. Dorsal sepal ovate and erect, brown to green lateral sepals bent downways and crossing each other. Labellum with narrow lateral lobes the same length as the mid-lobe, a pair of basal ridges extending onto mid-lobe.
