Single broadly egg-shaped to heart-shaped leaf to 10-25mm x 10-32mm, green, paler below, ground hugging.
A small rounded orchid with a very short stem. The single, dark purple flower appears to rest on the heart-shaped to oval leaf. Often grows in large colonies and is very common.
Single erect deep purple flower, to 12mm across. Crimson-veined labellum with white central spot being channelled and margins are incurved and toothed.
Moist, shaded forests and sheltered slopes and gullies.
